TREBLE & TWANG
Treble And Twang
Citizens Preserving History is proud to announce the release of their historic video documentary called” TREBLE AND TWANG”. The Music That Came Out of Bakersfield” As the acclaimed Country Music Historian, Scott B.Bomar, said, “Whenever anyone asks, ‘What is the Bakersfield Sound”? That is the 20-million-dollar question, you’ll get a lot of different answers!” This documentary tells the story of the desperation endured by the Dust Bowl immigrants as they traveled to and settled in California. It is the mission of Citizens Preserving History to honor these humble: yet proud people, who created the music that paved the way for Buck Owens and Merle Haggard to take the “Country Music World by Storm” with the music that later came to be known as the BAKERSFIELD SOUND!
